Our client is currently seeking a CONTROLS ENGINEER Direct Hire position on site in Hazel Park, MI.
There is no travel involved and it is 100% onsite every day.
Job Description:
A Controls Engineer performs a vital role in designing and developing systems for manufacturing operations.
They may design layout, materials and information flow, or machine placement.
Additionally, a Control Engineer can be responsible for increasing production efficiency by evaluating performance and proposing and implementing improvements.
The Control Engineer works within the Drivetrain Systems All Wheel Drive Engineering matrixed organization in collaboration with the Engineering Manager.
Requirements:
o Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and Computer and Electrical Engineering preferredo Extensive experience in Siemens PLC & HMI programming/troubleshootingo Kuka Robot experienceo Torque screw driverso Experience in Keyence Vision systemso Experience with AutoCAD (electrical design)o Familiarity with safety standards for industrial equipment (OSHA, NFPA, etc)o Knowledge of electrical and mechanical manufacturing processesSkills Required:
o Design electrical and control systems for industrial automation systemso Program and configure plant floor data interfaces (traceability)o Support qualifications of production equipmento Support troubleshooting production equipment for electrical/pneumatic issueso Lead support for vision inspection systemso Write work instructions for Controls processes including program, PLCs, automationo Confers with equipment manufacturers to resolve problems regarding building of controls systems.
o Support developing robust Process Control Plan for productiono Support robot issues (points, electrical issues, programming)o Technical leader for the plant in terms of automationo Train and develop the automation techniciansContact:
