Position in Context

We are seeking an experienced motivated and results-oriented 2nd shift Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Manufacturing Facility in Hazel Park office. Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for the operation of the maintenance, preventive action, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems. The person in this role is responsible for monitoring and preventive action to the operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime. Provide recommendations to management regarding modifications of existing equipment and facilities, replacement of existing equipment to improve operations, and reducing maintenance costs.


  • Installation/preventive action/maintenance/repair of equipment and machinery including the related software(PLC)
  • Plan and organize to ensure that production machinery uptime and production throughput is maximized in quantity and quality
  • Set up and maintain production's process tooling and equipment
  • Track work orders, parts inventories and the maintenance history of manufacturing machinery and equipment
  • Manage preventative maintenance schedule on all machinery and equipment
  • Responsible for diagnosing, tracking and documentation of all equipment malfunctions and repairs
  • Implement and develop safety practices, including Lock-Out-Tag-Out Process
  • Responsible for ensuring good housekeeping practices
  • Develop and manage a preventative maintenance program
  • Troubleshoot production machinery and related equipment
  • Responsible for coordinating maintenance to minimize interference with production operations
  • Generates daily, monthly, yearly reports as required
  • Promotes plant safety and good housekeeping practices


  • High school degree or equivalent, (5) years experience degree preferred;
  • Journeymen status with 5 + years manufacturing maintenance experience -Preferred
  • Experience in Programming of PC/PLC (Programmable Controls/Programmable Logic Controls: Mitsubishi)
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic and electrical prints
  • Must be knowledgeable in mechanical, electrical and tooling
  • Knowledge of basic math including trigonometry
  • PLC programming pneumatics hydraulics machining welding
  • Predictive/preventive maintenance background
  • Available to work 2nd shift and work overtime as needed

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
